My uncle Sgt Ralph Batman served with 222 Squadron from Sept 1941 to April 1942. He was an MIA while on circus operation 144 on 28 April 1942. He was shot down by Rudi Pflanz from JG 2 approx 3ks west of gravelines. Ralph has no known grave. For many years we have been researching his possible resting place. Any info on Ralph or other members of 22 squadron would be greatly appeciated. Many thanks.

My Father, FSgt Dave Cooper served at North Weald with 111 Sqn (Black Arrows) before they went to Wattisham. That would have been 1958. We used to live in Beamish Close.

Hi - I believe my grandfather served here but I'm not sure. I never met him but I'd like to find out some information about him. His name is Roland Hammerbeck and he died on 11 August 1956. Thanks

My uncle, Kåre Bergithon Anthonsen (Harstad, Norway) served at RAF North Weald Epping (after training in Little Norway, Canada) in March-June 1944. I'm collecting information regarding his life and tribute. Have you any data to contribute? Two links attached (the first one unfortunately just in Norwegian). Thank you. http://www.rnaf331.com/Piloter.html http://www.rafandluftwaffe.info/lists/raf1b.htm
