I am seeking information,Photos etc of sgt pilot Rowland Clifford Jones 748624 aged 24 years, who was flying with 56 squadron at North weald. He was killed whilst on Patrol over France on RAF Circus 3 mission on Wednesday February 2nd 1941 & is buried in France pas de Calais. I have a few details, Photo of his Grave, the next of Kin at the time of his death,(parents) But I have no Photograph of him or code letters for his aircraft (Hurricane Mk.1, P3123) code could possibly be U S - ? 9 of our Fighter Planes were lost on this mission, with 6 Pilots killed, I have varying amounts of details of all the others, but very little on Rowland Jones. Can anyone help me with this please? I am compiling a memorial for 2 Pilots who collided when returning from the mission, that crashed near my Home. Many thanks & best regards, Bernie

My grandfather Wesley Charles Clifford STRATTON served in the RAF, based at North Weald between 14/9/40 and his death on 31/7/41. He died in the military hospital in Oxford, having been moved from Uxbridge hospital. He was a LAC, trained at Cranwell. This is virtually all the info I have, very grateful for any hints. Thanks.

My father was Raymond G. S. Wyborn. He died on 12th July 1952 doing formation aerobatics in a Vampire 5. I have photos taken of him in the goodwill visit to Sweden in August 1951. He loved to fly. Would love to hear any stories about him as he died just before I was born.
